toguard trail camera review 1

I was looking for an indiscreet outdoor battery operated camera that I could easily hide in plain sight, and I found it! This camera is way more than I expected and a lot of bang for the buck!! First, it can be easily programmed to just take pictures, or pictures and video, or pictures and video with sound! Secondly you can take pictures that are as high as 14MP and videos as high as 1920x1080P, which is phenomenal… Too boot.

you an set the sequence of what you’d like to capture, like take 3 three pictures then trigger the video… Speaking of which you can set the duration of the video from 1 second to 10 minutes. Then there is the infrared night vision capabilities – which has so far worked flawlessly. Did I mention there is a built in security feature that allows you to lock down the OS? Yup, you can easily set a 4 digit pin that you will need to use to unlock the OS. Again,

I am pleasantly surprised on how versatile this camera is and how easy it is to operate – I didn’t even have to read the user manual 🤩 PS. Pictures have detailed EXIF for those who were wondering!

I got this camera to watch a property that i do not have outdoor wifi coverage. I set it up in my backyard, as a test, and it worked great. This camera is pretty much built. Nice and rugged. features a few mount options, a permanent one and a strap. i will be able to probably use the strap because it is pretty easy to use that on a tree.

The video quality is superb , especially given the worth of this camera. It allows for pictures, and/or video.

A little difficult to guesstimate battery life, but like all battery cameras: motion detection settings are what has the impact. Have it set during a manner that permits for elimination of false trips (tree branches occupation front of it, etc… It also features a jack thereon to simply accept a 6V power supply which i’ll use.

Pulling the video from it had been pretty simple using the included USB cable (you could pull the memory card out too).

I have another Toguard camera that I bought for my jeep that features a front and rear camera. I can say that reaching customer support is straightforward , and that they actually do reply (I had an issue on rear camera setup). Those are the kinds of companies i prefer to try to to business with. Nothing worse than sending an email, or calling, and their is not any reply. Our professional after-sale service will reply questions within 24 hours.

This trail cam records high quality pictures and video both day and night. It has a sensitive motion sensor so even the smallest of animals (such as birds) make it start recording. The large image sensor captures enough light for clear pictures at night, and the powerful infrared LEDs give it plenty of illumination without scaring animals away.

I set it up in my driveway for testing purposes, which gives me a convenient means of testing out the numerous timer, photo, and video options. If you have a lot of activity you’re wanting to record, and you want to use the highest resolution photos and videos, make sure you install a big data card because this trail cam doesn’t skimp on image quality. Overall, great bang for the buck. See 3 attached images and 1 video.

Grabbed this trail cam as I wanted to ascertain what activity we might have behind our new house once we weren’t home or in the dark . This has been perfect. the image and video quality is great. There’s some ways to customize the settings, too many to urge into on here but still fairly simple.

Takes a touch little bit of experimenting but once you catch on done, it’s great. the sole thing I had a problem with was with formatting the memory card directly . once you get the unit and therefore the memory card, put the memory card in before you even start the trail camera up. Then attend the menu settings and format and it works flawlessly. I bought some rechargeable batteries and haven’t had to recharge them yet
